Delta Air Lines @ P.S. ARTS: Express Yourself 2017 Fundraiser

Delta Air Lines is a supporter and the official airline of P.S. ARTS, a nonprofit that is dedicated to providing arts education to underserved public schools and communities in Central and Southern California. Express Yourself is P.S. ARTS' biggest fundraiser of the year. This year, MKG helped Delta create an interactive creative experience to inspire kids and their parents to travel the world and document their adventures.

Moodboard

 Inspired by vintage airline advertisements and travel posters, we created a graphic identity for the event that could align with Delta's graphic style and be kid friendly and playful at the same time. We created custom travel journals for the kids to color and take home, propped the space out with globes and luggage, and used polaroid camera's to help the children and parents document their experience with the Delta Air Lines interaction at Express Yourself.

Design Process

The booth included a branded graphic wall that helped define the space while serving as a backdrop for photo opportunities with the polaroid cameras and help from the brand ambassadors on hand. The kids could then tape their photos into the travel journals to take home. 

My scribbles on the right helped me mock up how the backdrop could look and feel. I opted to incorporate stylized polaroid photos into the backdrop with generic travel imagery of nature and cities around the world. We included stars on the map in the general area of key Delta travel destinations and utilized messaging that was consistent with other Delta campaigns in the LA market.
